Steering tube too short. Can I save it?

Post by Freeza » 28 Mar 2015 19:44

First of all, hi!

I'm new at both this forum and country, so please forgive me for writing in english as my swedish is not at all good.

I've recently bought a bike at this forum, and with it, an extra drilled fork for a front brake from the same user as I did not wanted to drill the original fork. He said he had ride with it with no problems on the same frame but I just put it together, with no spacers and it's obviously too short (see image below) So question is, is this a problem? If so, can I fix it somehow? Or is it lost?

any tips? thanks!

A real safety-issue, buy a new cheap fork instead of potential broken face
